This is a busy time of year for work that takes me away from The New Brit Workshop and so I thought that I should say hello - yes, I am still here.
Do look at the photographs at the end of the video. They were taken of a 20 m high statue of a WW1 soldier created from scrap iron by artist and blacksmith Martin Galbavy. There are far better images available on the internet just put "Dorset Forge WW1 Soldier" into your search engine. My grandfather died of wounds almost to the day 100 years ago near Ypres. I have the deepest sympathy and respect for everyone who gave their lives, no matter where they were from, in that senseless war.
